Among the individuals who have greatly shown affection or compassion towards this island of Sri Lanka and to the Sinhala nation. There is no individual who can be compared to Arahant Mihindu Thero. Firstly, our Supreme Buddha arrived three times and gave blessings to this motherland. Then Arahant Mihindu Thero arrived, and the Buddha’s Dispensation along with the Sublime Dhamma was gifted to this motherland. The Triple Gem was established in the Sinhala nation. The nation of Sinhala was transformed into a proud, prosperous and decent nation. As we speak, the stupa which was built by placing the relics of Arahant Mihindu Thero, has dilapidated with time.
Therefore, without any hesitation, in veneration to our first spiritual teacher, we thought of reconstructing the stupa and providing the opportunity for the grateful individuals living in this world to worship the stupa and collect merits. May all the meritorious devotees get the opportunity to be a part of this activity.
