Always trying to be the best of the best? Being competitive is ingrained in us because we live in a society that rewards it. The real question is what truly drives this competition?

Competition is commonly derived from jealousy, we always focus on external targets like what the other person has. It is important to shift the attention away from other people and focus on ourselves instead. We need to learn to eliminate our jealousy, develop appreciative joy for other people’s accomplishments and strive to be a better version of ourselves.

You should only compete with yourself.
