Gratefulness | Mirror of Dhamma for Kids |

Our Great Teacher Supreme Buddha taught us to be grateful to others whenever someone has done even a little favour for us. Our Great Teacher Supreme Buddha himself was a Grateful Buddha. Our Blessed One stood without moving his eyes as he meditated under the Bodhi tree as a sign of gratitude to the Bo tree that had sheltered him. Think how fortunate we are to have a Great Teacher like Our Supreme Buddha! Our Great Teacher always praised people who are grateful to others. Not only our teacher who practiced gratefulness, but also our Great Arahants who lived in the past practiced gratefulness. May we all be able to practice gratefulness and realise Four Noble Truths in this Gautama Buddha’s Dispensation.
